Exploring Montessori with babies
A space for connection and learning for parents and caregivers, offering a hands-on experience designed to support families during the early years of parenting. From a Montessori perspective, we explore child development within a safe, carefully prepared and respectful environment.
While babies explore freely in an environment tailored to their developmental needs, families receive guidance and specialised support. Each session combines a formative talk and an experiential workshop with invited professionals, addressing key themes in early education, conscious parenting and child development.
Inspired by the pedagogy of Maria Montessori and a holistic vision of the human being, this programme invites us to pause, observe and reconnect with the authentic rhythm of childhood, offering practical tools to take home.
Aimed at: Families with children aged 6 to 18 months
Duration: 3 hours
Facilitator: María Ferrero, Montessori Infant Community Guide
Language: Spanish
Price per session: €60 per family (1 baby + 1 adult) | €80 per family (1 baby + 2 adults)
Free Movement and Early Motor Development (6–18 months)
Free movement is a fundamental part of a baby’s motor, emotional and cognitive development during the first months of life. In this session, we will explore how to support early childhood development through a Montessori and Pikler approach, respecting the baby’s natural rhythms and fostering autonomy from the very beginning.
The session will be facilitated by María Ferrero, Infant Community Montessori Guide at Imagine. We will also be joined by Sonia Cruz, paediatric and adult physiotherapist and osteopath, specialist in paediatrics through TMPI and in breastfeeding-related difficulties through ÁMALA.
Through this experience, families will gain:
- A deeper understanding of babies’ motor development during early childhood.
- Practical tools to support free and autonomous movement at home.
- Guidance on preparing safe environments that respect child development.
- Insights into observing signs related to neurodevelopment and baby motor skills.
- A shared experience of observation, connection and learning alongside their babies.
All of this will take place in an environment carefully prepared to encourage movement and exploration, surrounded by nature and designed to support the real needs of babies and their families.
