After graduating from the University of Leeds with a 2:1 in Medicinal Chemistry, I spent a number of years teaching science and maths in schools across the UK. During this time, I took a career break and travelled. I used my time away to practice my favourite hobbies (yoga, surfing, hiking and camping) in new locations. I also volunteered as an English teacher – firstly in the Ecuadorian Amazon, and then in Galicia a few months later.
Upon my return to the UK I took a job as a camp leader at an outdoor education centre, teaching children basic outdoor survival skills and helping them get in touch with nature.
Working in these alternative educational settings was so fun and massively enriched my teaching practice. I am really excited to be starting my newest adventure – teaching at Imagine and embracing Valencian life.
