Daniel Alexander - Imagine Montesori School

Daniel Alexander

I was born and raised in London, England and after attending public school there I studied Medical Biological Sciences at the University of Bristol, before training to be a teacher.
I then worked in a central London public school, quickly taking on a number of leadership roles before leaving to work abroad first in Kenya then in Spain.
After more than a decade working in senior leadership positions in  international, British, and American secondary schools, I join Imagine Montessori to continue the incredible work that has already been done founding a secondary section.
My background is in science education, and alongside teaching I have worked extensively in school leadership, with responsibilities spanning pastoral care, staff development, curriculum design, and whole-school systems. Over the years, I have been particularly involved in building strong student-teacher relationships, developing inclusive school cultures, and supporting young people as they prepare for life beyond school. Although this is my first role within a Montessori school, the emphasis on student independence, responsibility, and purposeful learning aligns closely with my own approach to education.
My leadership style is grounded in listening, asking thoughtful questions, and building consensus, while also being clear and transparent in decision-making. I strongly believe that schools thrive when they feel like genuine communities, where students, teachers, and families all have a voice and a shared sense of purpose.
